Yomotsu appears in front of Yuki, Yuno, and Tsubaki, who are fleeing along with four hypnotized cult members dressed like him. Yomotsu explains that his Right Journal led to the infiltration of the Sacred Eye cult and that he intends to blow himself up along with Tsubaki using Uryu's bomb. After learning from Keigo that Yomotsu is blind, Yuno manages to find and kill him. Tsubaki then has her pursuers capture Yuki and Yuno, revealing that her plan has been to kill them, Keigo, and Yomotsu from the very beginning. Due to her traumatic past as a victim of ritualistic rape, Tsubaki desires to obtain Deus's power to recreate the world. Yuno manages to kill the guardians holding her, cuts off Tsubaki's hand, and gives Yuki her journal before collapsing from exhaustion. Using both journals, Yuki manages to avoid detection until Tsubaki tries to lure him out by announcing that her pursuers will rape and kill Yuno. Realizing Yuno's devotion to him, Yuki gathers his courage and manages to reach Yuno in time, but Tsubaki boasts that as long as he is within the sight of her pursuers, his actions will be predicted in her journal. Yuki throws a small ball he found earlier into the air, causing all of Tsubaki's pursuers to look at it, rendering her journal useless. Then, Yuki shoots an arrow at Tsubaki's journal, and since she is missing a hand, she cannot deflect the blow. With her journal pierced, Tsubaki disappears, and Yuki and Yuno escape. Meanwhile, Uryu, who was freed by Yomotsu, is captured by Keigo, but he ultimately lets her go in exchange for her contact information.
