Initially, Louie is furious, but he sees an opportunity to make some money when he learns that Jim is receiving a blank check from his wealthy father to compensate Louie for his losses. However, Louie is unsure how much to ask for, as Jim says he needs to call his father to approve the amount. After much lamenting over the sum, Louie settles on about $30,000, and Jim's father approves it. Louie is extremely happy until he finds out that Jim's father expected the amount to be closer to $200,000.
