John realizes that Paulette has the key on her charm bracelet and opens the suitcase — it contains a motherboard configured like a map of the city, and John and Paulette track the location to an abandoned basement used as a lab, with accident victims in comas used as subjects in the chip experiments. They then realize that the contents of the suitcase have barcodes, but when John scans them for information, a hacker begins to detonate sites in the city through the electrical and water systems and demands that the suitcase be handed over. John takes the suitcase and follows the hacker to a nearby mall — it is Moretti's assistant, Johansen...
